The Social Justice team explores how St James’ Church collectively and through individual members can build a culture where acknowledging, addressing and actioning social justice and creation care issues become an integral part of our focus and mission as a church and as individual Christians.
We're inspired by the fourth and fifth marks of mission:

To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation

CAP
We run a CAP Centre, helping people get free from debt and running CAP money courses.
Christian Aid Week
Each year, we support Christian Aid week. In 2021, we considered the impact of Climate Change in Kenya.

We are a Fairtrade Church, and serve Fairtrade products where possible.
