At St James Church, our kids (aged 0-11), experience safe, age appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative, fun and relevant way.

SUNDAY MORNINGS
Kingdom Kids
On Sunday mornings, we have two groups for children;
Kingdom Tiddlers for those aged 0 to nursery.
Kingdom Kids for those in Reception – Year 6
The children start the morning in church with their families for a time of intergenerational worship and activity. There are worship bags available for the children, allowing them to worship with ribbons and shakers. Don’t worry if your child fidgets, moves around or makes a noise, it’s wonderful to have them with us.
The service host will announce from the front when it is time for the children to go to their groups. The children will be lead out by their leaders, but parents are welcome to go out with them. You are welcome to stay for a while and see what they do, or you are free to head back to the service. We do ask that you stay on site though!
Kingdom Tiddlers meet in the Garden Room. It is a chance for very young children to explore the morning’s teaching theme with play, a story, bubbles, praise and craft. Snacks are usually provided (breadsticks, raisins and plain biscuits). Children will be accompanied to the toilet if they need to go. If a younger child needs a nappy change, we will come and find you. You will need to collect your child at 11.30am or when you see older children returning to church.
Kingdom Kids meet in the Oasis Room. A chance to explore the morning’s teaching theme with a game, a Bible passage and then exploration zones that allow the children to reflect and explore the theme through activities of their choice; modelling, craft, painting, colouring, writing, researching, discussion and reflecting. The children share what they have learnt before they return to their families at the end of the service. This is a good time for parents of Kingdom Tiddlers to collect their children.
Forest Church
Forest Church services happen at St James School Eco Zone, usually on the last Sunday of the month at 9.15am. Please check the weekly email or with Helen email: helenpotts@stjamesclitheroe.co.uk
The Eco Zone can be accessed off Whalley Road, by heading down the side road in between the two restaurants Jun Yue and The Terrace. Car parking on Whalley Road or the side streets.
We explore God's word using the natural environment. Wearing of warm clothes and wellies are definitely advised!
